Everything worth knowing before the dog claims it.

The Lounge

Is this just an expensive pillow?

No.

A pillow collapses. The Lounge is built around structure: a supportive foam core, sewn-in bolsters, and a cover that holds the shape together.

The word orthopedic gets used loosely in dog beds. What matters is support, stability, and whether it still feels like a bed six months from now.

Will my dog fit?

The Lounge is made for dogs weighing 19 to 90 pounds.

Dogs do not sleep like diagrams. They curl, sprawl, rotate, lean, and claim more space than seems reasonable.

If your dog is closer to 90 pounds, look at Jack on Claimed. He’s ninety pounds, and you can see how he uses The Lounge there.

Why one size?

Because your home probably doesn’t need a dog-bed department. It needs one good object that earns its place in the room.

The Lounge gives smaller dogs room to nest and larger dogs enough structure to settle in.

One footprint. Many claims.

Is it good for older dogs or short-legged dogs?

That was part of the point.

The front entry is low so dogs can step in instead of climbing over a wall. The sides and back are higher so they have something to curl into, lean against, or rest their head on.

Cleaning and care

How hard is it to clean?

It’s meant to be doable on a normal Tuesday night.

The cover comes off and goes in the wash. The structure stays out of the machine.

That distinction matters. You can clean the part that takes the hit without destroying the thing that gives the bed its shape.

Can I machine wash it?

The mattress is protected inside a water-resistant sleeve, so keep the foam and bolsters out of the wash and do not clean them. Spot-clean the removable cover as needed. When it needs a reset, machine-wash the cover cold. Hang dry.

What if my dog throws up, tracks dirt, or does something deeply unnecessary on it?

The mattress is protected inside a water-resistant sleeve. Keep the foam and bolsters out of the wash and do not clean them. Spot-clean the removable cover as needed, then machine-wash it cold. Hang dry. Question their judgment. Privately.

The Lounge is designed for real dog life, not the fantasy version where nothing ever happens to the furniture.

Returns and exchanges

What if my dog ignores it?

Dogs have opinions.

Try The Lounge for 100 nights. If your dog never naturally chooses it, contact us within the trial window.

You do not need the original packaging, and there is no return shipping or customer pickup. We’ll ask you to donate it to a local shelter or rescue instead. Once we confirm the next step, we’ll refund the original payment card.

Less waste. Better ending.

Do I have to ship it back?

No.

A used dog bed in a giant box does not need to cross the country again. There is no return shipping or customer pickup. If the trial doesn’t work out, we’ll ask you to donate it to a local shelter or rescue and handle the refund with you.

Do I need the original packaging?

No. We know nobody is keeping the giant dog-bed box around for 100 nights.

If the trial doesn’t work out, contact us and we’ll ask you to donate The Lounge locally rather than ship it back.

How will my refund work?

Once we confirm the next step with you, we’ll issue the refund to the original payment card. Your bank may take additional time to post it.

Warranty and damage

Is it indestructible?

No. It’s built for normal dog life: circling, jumping, daily use, and the usual digging before they settle.

It’s not built for aggressive digging or a dog actively trying to tear it apart. Damage caused by digging, chewing, scratching, or tearing is not a manufacturing defect and is not covered by the warranty.

What does the warranty cover?

The limited 2-year structural warranty applies only to the original purchaser and begins when The Lounge is delivered. It covers manufacturing defects in the zipper, foam, seams, bolsters, and structural components that show up during normal residential dog use.

It does not cover damage caused by chewing, tearing, digging, scratching, deliberate destruction, misuse, accidents, improper care, or normal wear and tear. The bed is built for normal digging; damage caused by digging is still not a manufacturing defect.

For a claim, contact us with your order number and photos. If we confirm a covered manufacturing defect, we’ll replace it.

Covers and replacement parts

Can I replace the cover later?

Yes. Replacement covers are part of the system.

You should not have to replace the whole bed every time life happens.

Can I buy an extra cover with the bed?

Yes. You can add a spare cover when you buy The Lounge.

A good move if your dog has a gift for making messes at the worst possible time.

Shipping and setup

How does it arrive?

The Lounge ships compressed.

Open it, let it recover, and give it a little time to come back to itself. We’ll include setup instructions in the box and on the product page.

Where does it ship from?

The Lounge is made and packed in Ben’s garage in California.

When will my pre-order ship?

The Lounge is currently a preorder. We’re making and packing it in Ben’s garage in California, with orders expected to ship by the end of September. We’ll keep you posted if that changes.

Order changes

Can I cancel after I order?

Once an order is placed, cancellation is not guaranteed.

Contact us within 24 hours and we’ll try to stop it before it ships. After that, we may not be able to cancel it.
